Nuko Matsuri 2012

美喜井稲荷は港区赤坂にあるとても小さな神社です。
普通、稲荷様というと狐を思い浮かべると思いますが、ここの稲荷様は何故か猫です。本殿の欄間にも小鳥と遊ぶ白猫と人間の魂を喰らっていると思われる白猫が居ます。
資料があまり残っておらず、何故猫が稲荷様なのかなどの由来はよくわかっていませんが、元々この場所には猫占いで有名な神社があったのではないかとも言われています。
他にも、神社が火事になった際、世話をしていた野良猫に起こされ難を逃れたものの猫自身は火事で死んでしまったので神様として祀ることにしたなどという説もあります。
猫を祀っているだけあって、この神社で神様にお願いをするときは蛸を食べてはいけないそうです（猫に蛸は厳禁です）

この神社はもしかしたら早朝・夜間は入れないかもしれないので注意してください。
ここはビルの谷間でGPSは非常に不安定ですので勘で探してください。境内の中にキャッシュはありますが石や稲荷様へのお供え物など、物を動かさずとも見つけられますのでくれぐれも不用意な行動はとらないようにお願いします。

Mikii Inari Shinto shrine is very small shrine, located in Akasaka, Minato. Typically, Inari is the fox. But, It is the cat this Inari shrine. White cat playing with the birds and white cat seems to be that clutter the soul of the human also to the transom of the main hall will stay. Not much from the remaining documentation, such as why cats Inari Why is not well-understood. Probably have been speculated in this location originally there was a famous shrine in the fortune-telling cat. Besides, when the shrine was to fire people, fleeing the crisis caused to the stray cat that had a residence care. The cat died in the fire, however. There is also a theory that because, it decided to worship God as a cat. We are dedicated to the cat, when you ask to god this shrine is so do not eat the octopus. (To feed the cat should not be the octopus) Perhaps, Please note that this shrine early in the morning and night because it might not be admitted.
