in our disclaimer.
Cache IS at the posted coordinates, but you MUST fulfill the requirements in order to log a find on this cache!
To complete the SETX Alphanumeric Challenge, you must find and log a cache by 36 different geocachers as follows: you must find a cache placed by a Geocacher whose caching name* starts with each number (0 - 9) and each letter of the alphabet (A - Z).
Challenge Rules:
1. The Geocacher Name is determined by the cacher's registered Geocaching.com name on their profile page.
2. If the "a cache by" Geocacher Name on the cache page, or "Placed by" Geocacher Name in GSAK does not match the profile page of the owner, the owner's profile name controls, not the "a cache placed by" or GSAK name.
3. Special characters at the beginning of the Geocacher’s Name can be ignored and the first letter or number after the special character(s) can be used. (Be sure to look at special characters when searching to see if any help fill any of your missing 'holes'.)
4. The Geocacher Name must have been registered with Geocaching.com before the hide date of this Geocache, or be confirmed as a bona fide geocacher and not a sockpuppet account.
5. The type of geocache and the date you found the cache does not matter, however, the geocache must have been active at the date you logged it.
6. Geocache finds in other States and Countries can be used.
7. Past finds count!
8. In your "Found it" log you must provide either a link to your bookmark list, or load an image of your GSAK or other stat generating program screen print showing all the requirements have been met. Use the checker - capture the Example Log to show your proof! Don't just use the part that says "xxxx qualifies." Show your proof!
9. "Found it" logs posted without the proper proof will be deleted without notice.
10. You can sign the log for this challenge at any time and log a 'note' to the cache page, mentioning you signed the log. But you may not log a find until you have completed the requirements (this way you don't have to go back to sign after you complete the requirements!). Once you complete the requirements, edit your log, change it to found, and change the find date to the date you completed the requirements and list the required information.
On May 1, 2011, Groundspeak's MyGeocachingProfile.com added an AlphaNumeric Challenge profile feature. It will locate in your cache finds acceptable 0-9 and A-Z "cache by/cache owner" geocaches and list them -- and pulls them from the profile page (not the "a cache placed by" field). You can upload to your "Found It" log a screen print of that verification. You can check-out this new feature at MyGeocachingProfile.com
Bookmarks need to contain the Placed By name and the date found for each find you are using to meet this challenge.
Good luck!
