On the dry edge of the beach. Not difficult terrain but steps to Beach on west side are steep.
This is on the west side of Big River Beach. Very popular spot, great views, access to hiking,biking,surfing. Canoe rentals on South side. Accessible from the town of Mendocino. Park on South side of church's parking lot.Its a short walk across the Headlands to stairs down to beach. Alternatively park on East side of Highway 1 on the Big River Beach lot. Suggest a circular approach to cache on primitive trails. On weekends, specially during nice weather beach can be busy, so some stealth is required.
