I have noticed that there are not many caches around my area, so I wish for this to change. So, this cache is the first of hopefully a few more, that I shall be placing in my area.
This cache is great for families with small children. I have placed this cache at an area with a simple playground, which has recently been renovated (and one which seems to have the same design as other local playgrounds, which have also been renovated.)There is also a small grassed area, so the children can kick a ball or have a run around, or even bring the dogs along, to catch a ball, too! :) To complete this area, there is also a basketball ring, so don't forget the basketball and soccer ball. Maybe even bring your cricket gear, and play some cricket. The grass is maintained well, and usually in the cooler months, the grass is nice and green, so may I suggest you only attempt this cache in the cooler weather, when there has been much rainfall. If you do not wish to play any sport at this place, how about you have a small picnic. There is a couple of park benches (without the table), so parents can watch, as their children play.
However, this cache has not been placed on the playground. Rather, it is located at one of the many trees which surround the area. Sadly, there were many more trees once upon a time, and I used to love climbing around and going exploring in these trees. However, many of these trees have been cut down, leaving only a few. Ensure you check more than one tree. Maybe have a competition to see who can find the right tree!
So, the reason I have placed this cache here, is not only so that families with children, can discover another play area, but also because this place has many memories for me. I grew up near this playground, and it has changed significantly, as I have been growing up. I still remember when the majority of this playground was made out of wood. There was a climbing web, and swings with wooden supports. Now all of that has gone sadly, and it has had a total makeover. The only thing that is still there, is the flying fox. Additionally, as mentioned before, there used to be plenty of trees, perfect for climbing, and when I was younger, I used to love climbing these trees, nice and high, and being able to see what was below, and out into the distance. Now I can't do this anymore.
So, anyway, enough rambling on...you might be wondering the relevance of the cache name. It receives this name, because this cache is actually one of my previous caches that has been revived. This cache was formerly called "Bran Nue Plae Ground"...so, if you have already found a cache entitled this, you will be experiencing dej vu, if you find this cache again.
Have fun!
