This is a multi-stage cache with 6 points, the last being a normal
cache. The terrain is woods with gravel or grass paths, for the
most part. You will need to go off trail and follow small overgrown
paths to find the markers. The first marker is right on the path;
all the other markers are the same but hidden in the woods. In
setting up this cache I walked 3 miles, so bring your hiking boots,
long pants, and a bottle of water.
Park at 41º43.500 by 87º58.400. From there the first marker is
an easy walk.
To find the next marker take the 2-letter code from the post.
Divide the numbers below by the number value of the letters from
the post (A=1,B=2,C=3,etc). The first letter for latitude and the
second letter for longitude. This will give you the decimal part of
the minute. Example: if the letter was B and the given number 2222
the answer 1111 would be added to the minutes 41º43.1111 to get the
location. Except for the final cache.
All the locations will be 41º43.XXX by 87º58.XXX (Except for the
final cache.)
For the second marker: 3804 for lat. And 10010 for long.
For the third marker: 3427 for lat. And 3656 for long.
For the fourth marker: 2980 for lat. And 8239 for long.
For the fifth marker: 2550 for lat. And 1964 for long.
For the CACHE: It's 41° 40 minutes lat. And 88° 03minutes
long.
Divide 0910 for lat. And 3486 for long. By the letter values of the
last post.
Be careful to locate the right markers, there are others in the
area.
I have corrected the numbers for the second marker as it was moved
when it was replaced by the DuPage County Forest Preserve.
Approved by DuPage County Forest Preserve. Good hunting.
