Small Cache on Runnymede, near Egham.
This cache is placed next to a Runnymede Borough Council post and granite post. I have no idea why it is there, but suspect that it is marking the location of an old standing stone or maybe an old border marker. If anyone knows it's purpose please e-mail me and I will add it to the cache description. The dual carriageway is built on an ancient embankment called the Causeway which used to provide a dry path from Staines bridge to Egham hill. It is now called Egham bypass. The stretch from the M25 to Staines is still called the Causeway.
The cache is a very small tupperware container covered in camo tape and filled with my glass beads. It is just big enough to get a geocoin into.
