Geocache Description:

The legend of Mad Ron E. is one that has been buried in the local legends and not retold for over two centuries.

Mad Ron E. blazed a trail right behind Lewis and Clark. He built a cabin on this here spot. His was a spirit of the land , a kind and gentle soul.

All that is known is that the ruins of his cabin were found here by the first settlers, along with some torn parchment that was said to be a diary of sorts and told of daily life.

Out of the middle of the ruins grew a lone tree, not like the other trees. This is said to be the spirit of Mad Ron E.. Sometimes, at night, as if pealing off of the smooth skin of a breeze, it is said that you can here the calling out of
Mad Ron E.
Mad Ron E.
Mad Ron E.

Not to worry for this is a sign of protection as Mad Ron E. was said to have been the protector of both animal and plant before civilization moved in and upon this valley

To find the treasure pay attention to the story for it is peppered, like good jerky, with clues.
If you succeed please only partially rotate open the vault to reveal my lost treasure. Leave some ink and good fortune may follow you the rest of the day fellow adventurer.
In case your little "Getcha There" contraptions are jumpy remember that I favor to eat with a "fork" in me "left" hand when walking south.

Once you think you spotted the cache do not remove it from its anchor and leave it in place. All that is needed is a slight rotation of the top counterclockwise.
