Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!

Hookhill's viaduct was finally opened in 1864 after construction had started in 1860. It stands 85 feet high and is 116 yards long. It was part of the Great Western branch line to Brixham and Kingswear. It is now part of the fantastic holiday line from Paignton to Kingswear by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company.
Cache is now a bison and is now mark three after two previous were muggled......so please re-hide well
