You are looking for a waterproof matchstick container. I averaged the coordinates about 100 times. Coords could be 3 feet off due to wall.
Back in 2007 Tallahassee Parks and Recreation (now called Tallahassee Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs) entered the geocaching world by hiding numerous caches around the city. The original cache had to be archived when the city started rebuilding what used to be called Centennial Field and will now be called Cascades Park.
Organized recreation saw it’s beginning in 1932 with twilight softball conducted under volunteer leadership. This program was so popular that funds were raised by voluntary subscription, to light Centennial Field, to permit night play, in 1933. By 1935, organized baseball took over Centennial Field and it was necessary to relocate the softball facility.
Cascades Park is a 12-acre park along the stream known as the St. Augustine Branch south of the Florida State Capitol. As of 2005 the park was closed to the public because of soil and water contamination by coal tar released by a manufactured gas plant. In 2006 the city started excavation of the contaminated soil and creating a georgeous park. The park is scheduled to open in December of this year. It will be home to an ampitheater, several kid friendly areas and we hope a lot of caches. Stay tune for those because TPRD is already working on them.
Most caches hidden by Tallahassee Parks and Recreation have a five or six digit code number, either on the log book or on the cache itself. Record the code number for a chance to earn a Parks and Recreation GeoCoin. After you have collected 40 coder, email them in alphabetical order by cache name with codes to this owner. We will confirm the codes and arrange to meet to pick up your numbered geocoin.
PLEASE NOTE: Parks are open from sunrise to sunset
