Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!

Parsons Tunnel is the first of five tunnels on the spectacular sea wall section of the main line between Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren. They are Parsons,Clerks,Phillots,Coryton and Kennaway with the first two named after the nearby sea stacks. The sea wall footpath also doubles up as part of the South West Coast Path. This cache is tidal so you will need to check the times and approach around low tide, unless you want a rather dangerous scramble on the larger rocks. PLEASE re-hide well.
