Geocache Description:

The Faded Signs Series is a series of mostly easy caches along Highway #4 in Pictou County with a couple of harder ones to find for variety. Cache sizes range from nano to regular. The latest caches may test features of your GPSr that you may or may not know how to use.

The posted coordinates will lead you to the parking location and the Trail Head for and old gated road into a park. At this point, using your flashlight (the more powerful the better) to follow a series of SILVER REFLECTIVE TAPE PIECES to the final location of the night cache. (THE SILVER REFLECTIVE TAPE PIECES ARE SQUARE)

You will need to follow a series of SILVER REFLECTIVE TAPE PIECES down the trail for about 3-5 reflectors. At this point, you will go off the main trail (road) to bushwhack following a series of 9-10 SILVER REFLECTIVE TAPE PIECES that will lead you to the location of the cache container.

At that point you will see 5 SILVER REFLECTIVE TAPE PIECES IN THE FORM OS AN "X" (X MARKS THE SPOT) Look for the cache on the other side of the twin trees. Total distance involved is probably about 200-220 metres.
The cache container is a REGULAR Camoufladged Container which is Winter Friendly.

PLEASE RETURN THE CACHE TO THE ORIGINAL LOCATION - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE TOTAL EXPERIENCE OF THIS NIGHT CACHE. THE LAST MAINTENANCE VISITS HAS FOUND THE CACHE IN THE WRONG LOCATION

Along Highway 4 in Pictou County, there are a number of tourist advertising signs that have faded from use with the construction of Highway 104 through Pictou County.

Normally, only the locals travel along Highway #4 while the tourists and other travelers normally take the four lane express Highway #104 to get through the region on their way to their holiday or business destination.

All the caches in this series are placed in the proximity of old faded Tourist Signs which may or may not reference past attractions or current old attractions.

Most of the caches in the series are Winter Friendly and fairly easy terrain to get to with no or minimum bushwhacking. The cache containers may vary in size but fitting with the hiding spot.

CONGRATULATIONS TO "Pnutbeagle and Spikybeagles" FOR THE FTF.
