This is another cache in my Roseville Wetlands Series. It is a quick easy drive up cache with a view of one of Roseville's Protected Wetlands. Roseville is full of these beautiful wetlands but many people don't know about them and they just pass right by. There is a sign that explains the area's rules. Lot's of wildlife can be seen here.
All around our area there are both seasonal and year round wetlands. A wetland is an environment between a terrestrial ecosystem and an aquatic system. This particular location is a seasonal wetland that fills with lots of little ponds and bogs during winter and spring. You can see lots of wildlife here especially in early spring. I have spotted many different types of birds such as egrets, ducks, blue-jays and many smaller ones. I have also spotted jackrabbits, raccoons, garter snakes, and frogs around here.
The terrain at this one is very easy since you won't have to enter the wetlands to claim this cache. Please enjoy the cache and the beauty of this area. Respect the natural landscape and watch out for mosquitoes, ticks and spiders. Please place the cache just as you found it and please post any photos you can take of the wildlife.
