Mooseky: No longer live or work in Louisville. Time to let this one go so someone else can hide here.

This is the first view point the park road passes by on the way to the top of the hill. When I was a teenager it was a great place for couples to park after dark. The city lights were not visible from here but it was a good choice for those who wanted to avoid the more popular North Overlook crowds.
The South Overlook provides a nice vantage point to see, in order of distance, Kenwood Hill, Red Stone Hill, Cardinal Hill, Finley Hill, Jefferson Memorial Forest, and the 1-65 corridor.
If you’re fortunate enough to visit while the road is closed to traffic take a few minutes and sit down on the nearby bench to enjoy the tranquility and view.
