A short series of 9 caches created between Alvechurch to Barnt Green. You are looking for a well hidden micro and your search could take you close to the water - take care you don't end up going for a swim!
This dead end was created when the canal was rerouted to accommodate the M42...it is no longer navigable and is now a nature reserve.
A series of 9 caches along the Worcester - Birmingham Canal, between Alvechurch and Barnt Green. Most of the caches are nice, straightforward hides and good for all cachers including geo-kids, but we've thrown in a couple for those who like a bit more of a hunt!
Parking is available at several points along the way, particularly near the Marina in Alvechurch or off Withybed Lane in Alvechurch.
The terrain is relatively flat as you would expect from a canal towpath, but it not particularly level or smooth. It is possible to ride a bike along the path in the drier months, but the ride will be bumpy in places and the path does narrow quite considerably.
In the winter months expect to get muddy - boots or wellies are recommended.
As always, take care with geokids along the way.
