Geocache Description:


near the location of this cache in 1801 once stood a 2 story log built building that was the first county seat of belmont county in the village of Pultney, now called Shadyside. The courthouse was only used for a few years until the county seat was moved to the more centrallocation of St. Clairsville. the first sheriff was jacob coleman, who used his barn as a jail. david harris was the first judge. easy stop and grab cache.cache contains only a log , bring your own pen.
