Geocache Description:

Driving through Wandering on the weekend we couldn't but notice the lack of caches in the area , so we decided to remedy the situation

The statue, created by local artist Len Zuks, doesn't have an official name but the locals call it "Trigger" . He is a representation of one of the original founders of Wandering (George Stedman Watts 1804 - 1889 )and his horse.
In 1859 Watts' wagon team horse strayed from their property and were found grazing in lush grass around a fresh water spring, still known as Horse Well,. The earliest property "Grassdale" southeast of the township was selected in 1861 and is still in the possession of the Watts family.
There are two theories of the town's name ,(1) it was named after finding the wandering stock, (2) it was named after the aboriginal name for the area "Wandooin" ( the wandoo or white gum)

Should be an easy to find nano
