SideTracked - Tooting Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired/replaced it, I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. Its a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too.

More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website.

Tooting railway station lies on the border of the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton in South London.

The station is served by First Capital Connect and occasional Southern trains, and is on the "Sutton Loop".

The station opened in 1894 as 'Tooting Junction', replacing an early Tooting Junction station slightly further West that dated from 1868. It was renamed simply 'Tooting' in the 1938, following the closure of the branch line from Tooting to Merton Park to passenger traffic in 1929.

You are looking for a small pill container outside of the station entrance. Keep a good look out for muggles waiting to cross the road. Due to where the cache is hidden, this is not suitable for cachers of limited mobility (hence the terrain rating).

***Please be careful not to break the chord and replace the cap properly.***

Bring a pen/pencil.
