Geocache Description:

This pre-Civil War house is on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. During the Civil War this house was used as an army hospital. Surgeries (a lot of amputations)took place in the dining room. Buckets of water were splashed onto the operating table to wash away the blood. The edges of the floor around the walls were permanently stained red from the blood. The house is thought to be haunted! Several family members have had eerie phenomenon happen to them.
