Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to the resting place of Sir Richard Dry, Tasmania's first Tasmanian born Premier, and first to be knighted.

Sir Richard Dry was Premier from 1866 to 1869, when he died in office. He died in Hobart, and it took four days to convey his body from Hobart to Hagley. hundreds of people from the towns on the route joined the funeral procession. He is buried under the chancel at the church here.

This is an interesting and quaint church and graveyard and well worth a look. It's one of the few cemeteries that was used from the mid 1800s and is still in use today.

To find GZ, look for a little clearing to the left as you drive up the lane to the church and cemetery.
