This cache is located on State Game Lands 333/ The Spring Creek Canyon Conservancy lands, and should prove to be an enjoyable hike through lands that nature is slowly reclaiming.
From Wikipedia: "Overfishing occurs when fishing activities reduce fish stocks below an acceptable level. This can occur in any body of water from a pond to the oceans." These actions can have disastrous effects on fish populations in an area, the ecosystem as a whole, and any people that rely on said fish for their livelihood. Efforts to prevent this in PA have been employed for a great many decades now, and located within the Spring Creek Canyon are two fish hatcheries that feed off the crystal clear water and mountain springs to raise 4 varieties of trout, 2 types of muskellunge, and walleye. Not only does this help maintain fish populations, but also provides some excellent angling opportunities!!
This cache is not located within casting distance of any waterway, but rather will give you a nice view 'Over Fishing', which is to say you will have a nice view of the hatchery property and the myriad holding canals teeming with fish.
NOTE: This cache is located on SGL lands, and as such please wear blaze orange when hunting this or search on Sundays.
