Geocache Description:

The coordinates listed above take you to a landmark. There is parking close to this landmark on either side of the street. Cache is not located at this exact location, but is within walking distance.

IMPORTANT: Before you head out to this cache you will need to do a little sleuthing online regarding the history of the location. The information you find online will help you answer the clues to determine the exact coordinates. Do a google search for “History of Brooklyn, Indiana.” The first website that comes up should be a wikipedia article that will help you find the number for "A". Then do a google search for "Lyon Distillery Brooklyn Indiana." The first selection should be "Counties of Morgan, Monroe and Brown" an e-book. If you click on the link you should be able to determine the answers to "B" and "C." "D" is going to be a stumper until I go to the location and get another geocaching reading. In the meantime, read the following paragraph and ask yourself, "what place in Brooklyn is only open during the hours given?"

Although I personally prefer a 24-hour cache, I’m afraid this one is not going to be one of them. The cache is located inside and you will need to time your visit to match the hours when you can go inside: Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 7 pm or Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Location of cache is inside a fairly large tome, albeit not a scholarly one.

Cache is located at N 39 degrees CB.CBB W 086 degrees BB.BDA
Here are the clues and good luck!
A = Fourth digit of the year this area was first settled
B = Third digit of the year Col. Johnathan Lyon bought most of the area
C = Fourth digit of the year the Lyon distillery burned
D = Second digit of number of yards that wagons and horses had to go downstream

Finally, persons in charge of this location have given permission for this cache to be placed. Please try to act casual when seeking this cache. You will most likely need to decrypt the hint to find the cache.

Congrats to Lego Studs and 17 Wins for being FTF!
