Geocache Description:

The cache is a thin tube cannister wrapped in black gaffer tape. There should be no difficulty in the terrain, though disabled users might have problems as there are two steps right where the cache is. Cache contains only log so bring a pen(cil.)

My first cache placement. It is hidden in the corner of a gap in a corner.

This is one of the many remnants of when the area was a base for shipping and trade. This area marks where the River Neckinger, a subterranean river, meets the Thames.

In the 17th century convicted pirates were hanged at this spot and their corpses were placed on display as a deterrent further downstream at Blackwall Point. The name of the river is believed to derive from the term devil's neckcloth.
