Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in south Moorhead with the permission of the management. This close to interstate you might as well stop and pick this cache while it is ripe.

The Minnesota State Fruit Bill was passed into law in 2006. The bill started out as a writing assignment for some students from Andersen Elementary School in Bayport. They wrote about how the Honeycrisp was developed at the University of Minnesota in the Horticultural Research Center. Worldwide more then a million Honeycrisp trees have been planted and they are all ‘rooted’ back here in good old Minnesota. A tip of my geocaching hat to 2000TINK, who’s cache idea I ‘borrowed’ for this placement. Congratulations to 2000TINK for getting the First To Find!
