PLEASE NOTE! The Bureau of Forestry suggests these directions to avoid disturbing the protected rattlesnake population in the Forestry Service land:
"Park in the large Game Commission parking lot immediately before the fire tower, and head down the gated State Game Lands road to the left, away from the tower."
The cache location is not suitable for children.
There is wonderful hiking in this area, including woods roads and trails that will lead you to Hawk Mountain and to the Appalachian Trail.
There's a spectacular overlook nearby. The coordinates are N40 36.445 W075 59.325.
The None the Weiser 2 cache is located within a mile of the fire tower. You reach the cache area by bushwacking a short distance off a main trail over rocky ground. The cache is hidden in rocks and covered with leaves and branches. Use caution and be careful!
The cache is a 1.3-gallon, clear Rubbermaid container with a white lid. The EPE shown on our eTrex Vista at the cache location was 22 feet. The elevation is 1407 feet.
