The given co-ordinates will take you to the outlet into the River Tees of the waste water from chemical works at Urlay Nook. The plant, now almost closed, was originally established in 1831 - one of the first chemical plants on Teesside. During the 1970s and 1980s the works discharged its waste water into the Tees through the same pipe and regularly turned the river green because of the chromium salts dissolved in the water.

Given my former occupation this seemed a good idea for a puzzle cache and a location for the start.

The location is not really worth more than a cursory glance as an oddity of history as you pass along the Teesdale way on the north bank of the Tees (County Durham) between Tees Tease 4 (GC2N46Y) to the North and Aislaby Series 1 - Nelly Burden's Beck (GC3BPFQ) to the South.
