This cache is located in an area known as Carver Mill. Out of love for the sport of off-road driving, I decided to give back to my fellow off-roading geocachers. Permission has been granted by the property owner (see AGREEMENT & DISCLAIMER below). Parking and/or recommended starting point of your search can be found at the following coordinates: N 34°57.072 W 081°59.032.
Although you can hike in and find the caches scattered around this area, it is not recommended. There are a creek that will have to be crossed in order to hunt this cache, and you will be doing a lot of up and down hiking. Of course, if you find yourself without a mode of transportation to navigate to the cache, you can always give me a ring - I am always up for some off-camber fun.
This is a park-n-grab off-road style. You can pull within 100 feet of the cache, but getting there will be the challenge. Put it in 4-wheel drive, lock 'em if you have 'em, and enjoy the hunt for the cache.
The cache is a small lock-n-lock container which will hold small trade items. I wanted to hide a cache at the marker close by, but there wasn't a good way of hiding it there so I settled for an obvious hiding spot not too far away. You will probably not experience a lot of muggle activity around this area, but still keep an eye out for the wondering muggle. Please place the cache back as found so that the next off-roading geocacher can enjoy it.

NOTE: There is a Spartanburg Water System right of way that runs through this property. Please be watchful for the manholes as you make your way to the cache and stay clear of them.
Also, Spartanburg's Finest patrol this area from time to time. If you should be stopped by a police officer and questioned about your presence on the property, respectfully explain that you are geocaching (keyword), and that the property owner has given permission to do so. Of course, you are welcome to invite the officer along with you while you hunt.
