As I have driven to/from work the last 2 years I have enjoyed how this area has turned into a great place to walk the geopuppies or bike. I figured there was no better way to show off this area then to hide some geocaches so that others come to the area & enjoy the new beauty of the area. You might even see the windsurfers out ****Update- the cache was moved to a new area close to where it was originally posted. You DO NOT need to go around the new fence or down on the rocks.
Travel through Buffalo’s industrial heritage by foot or by bike and the story of Buffalo’s working waterfront will unfold around you. The industrial heritage of this area will be referenced in interpretive elements that identify historic and contemporary industries and in materials utilized from our industrial past such as recycled Belgian Blocks. Also included are historical timber benches, architectural lighting and heritage markers and landscape beds. A new fishing pier, a boardwalk area, park space, seating and provisions for public art will make this a destination for residents, tourists and families. A covered pavilion will highlight the new pier and provide a new signature element along the waterfront.
