This is the most physically demanding cache we have hid yet, it may be the most physically demanding cache in New Jersey yet.
The first half of this two part multi-cache is in Abram S. Hewitt State Forest, NJ. The second and final part is in the Appalachian Trail (AT) corridor in New York State. The two parts are about 2 mile away from each other as the crow flies or between 2.5 to 3 miles away as the human or dog walks. Both are located near trails.
Recommended reference for this hike is NYNJTC Trail Map 21. The Appalachian Trail Map Set Map 4 for New York/New Jersey also covers this area but does not show the access trails as well. Both these are available at www.nynjtc.org as well as in many sporting good stores in the area. The first cache is an 8 oz water bottle, the second a two litter plastic screw top container. Our trademark bottle of spring water is next to each cache. The water is available to the first thirst cacher.
