NOTE: This cache has been moved to a new location due to an extended restoration project nearby. It was originally part of the 2012 Virginia State Parks Blooming Adventure. This series ended on December 15, 2012. However, the park has taken over this cache so it is still active. Rewards are no longer available for this cache.
Cache is located near the Confederate Overlook Trail at the park, located .3 miles N of the Park Visitor Center. As of this date, the trail is not open to the public due to the project mentioned. When the project is completed, after locating the cache, you can walk the interpretive trail, which goes down the hill to Sailor's Creek, then back up the slope to the parking area. You will have walked .8 miles during your entire trip and you will have circumscribed one of the critical battle areas in the park.
