A small natural blending cache with enough room for the log, that is in plain sight. You can drive right up to the cache location. There is plenty of room to park...and turn around. BYOP
Welcome to Rock-ville, While the area over the years has diminished this use to be a type of gravel pit, only with larger rocks. Me an a friend use to fight our way up the mountain of rocks claw and nails...creating a massive landslide in our wake, getting back down however was actually the tricky part.
This area is nice and open with a stream nearby, let your dogs out to enjoy a nice romp. Veteran cachers will find this easier, the newer guys will find this a challenge. A light dusting of snow will increase the difficulty.
This area does get muddy in wet season, slippery in the cold...has some growth to it, and is rocky, some loose, some fast holding so a little extra caution is recommended, more so if you decide to explore the area afterwards.
I used to fish in the stream here, and it is still visited regularly by some of the locals. I even swam in this area as there are a few locations where it gets deep enough for a big guy like myself to submerge.
Some of the locals also use this as as a dirt-bike riding location...I would know cause this is where I learned. There is plenty of wildlife in the area so sit back listen to the water running and wait for natures children to reveal themselves if you'd like...it is really a relaxing experience. On clear nights you have a great view of the moon and stars and the occasional UFO.
If you continue down the full length of the road the field at the end is posted property while there is no need to go onto the land the drive/walk there by itself may prove worthwhile to some people. Deer tend to lurk in this area as it is overgrown, and near water/food so please drive slow and remain alert. I would recommend walking due to the roadway possibly getting muddy during really wet times of the year.
Please take note when looking for the cache on moving things...Please place everything back in the same place during your hunt.
