Geocache Description:


Welcome to one of the largest Geocaching events in the West. This event features 50 hidden cache locations in and around the magnificent Lake Tahoe Basin. You'll experience the South Shore area of Lake Tahoe’s scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and high altitude fun. From finding caches hidden along the shore of the lake, to locations that will leave you breathless, you won't want to miss out on this unique Bi-State event.

This year's two day High Sierra geocaching extravaganza is scheduled for June 23rd & 24th and is hosted by Geoteaming and the City of South Lake Tahoe Parks & Recreation: (visit link) So come join us and fellow cachers from all over California and Nevada at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Swim Complex: 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. You will need to be present each day at 8:30 AM to download the Waypoints, then you can start your caching journey into one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Difficulty and terrain levels will vary at the selected cache locations for this event and are not related to the start/end location. All 50 caches will be released the following week on the Geocaching web site.
