4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This area is very dear to us, we've been through here many times before and will continue to do so. We had a lovely drive this afternoon while coming to place this cache. There really is some beautiful country around here!

This cache was initially intended as a launchpad into WA and NT for the trackable items tightly packed inside, (There was hardly enough room for the logbook), but we hoped this cache could live on as a junction or stop-over for future TB's. We picked this location because we see it as the hub of some of Australia's most significant highways.

We had a ball collecting these Geocoins and Travel Bugs from around Adelaide during the week leading up to the hide. Many of them have been rattling round the metro area for a while, some are quite new, and some have already "been everywhere, man!"

Please respect the wishes of the owners of the different trackables and take the time, if possible, to look at the goals on each of their listings before vou visit this cache. If you can help any of these guys along on their respective journeys, go for it! Out of SA would probably be the best direction for most of them, overseas even better for some! Many of them have never been North or West.

Try and leave some fun for those coming along after you. Feel free to swap trackables here if the one(s) you're carrying need to take a turn-off at this point.
You're looking for a black 1L screw-top container containing a logbook, pen, pencil and originally there were 21 trackable items. Please handle it carefully. The 'camo', although fixed securely to it, is not entirely indestructable. Please be stealthy and muggle-aware, it would be a shame to lose this one.

****PLEASE BE CAREFUL HANDLING THE CACHE******
It's been brought to our attention that there are sharp screws protuding from the lid and side of the container. These were originally used to fasten a toy truck to the outside as decoration, but this truck is now gone. We will endeavor to deal with this soon, but for now removing them would let water into the cache.
