Small black test tube cache, hidden in woods. Tweezers will be needed.
Whilst we all learn about the dangers of railway lines it always seemed odd that in Chorley they still had a foot crossing from behind the gas storage towers on the A6 to a small wood into Railway road. This crossing consisted of no more than a gate and some planks between the rail lines. Crossing here never gave a feeling of safety.
So it came as a relief to many that they have now replaced this with a rather impressive footbridge. A footbridge with so much covering that it is hard to imagine how much safer it could be.
Whether you take the footbridge or approach from Railway road there is small area of woodland following the railway line. This area is often used by dog walkers, so be warned as some of them are not very good at clearing up!
There are tarmac paths and then well trodden paths into the woodland, so be prepare to go off the main trail.
Well done Team Microdot, yet another FTF.
