Geocache Description:

This is the continuation of our Caldy Ramble series which originally included 7 caches. We have decided to expand the series to include a few more caches based on the same theme.

The caches can be found just off some of the main paths running through Caldy and Thurstaston Hill. Wellies or strong walking boots are recommended when walking along these paths as it can get muddy and wet.

This cache is NOT on the main road side of the wall but just off the footpath on the other side which leads from Caldy Rugby Club to Thurstaston. It has been placed in a camouflaged bag and you may need a pair of tweezers to remove the log and you will definately need a pen to sign it.

The walk to the cache site is fairly easy depending upon which route you take but once there you will need to scramble up the banking to get the cache, hence the terrain rating. Please take extra care when retrieving and replacing the cache.

Parking is available at nearby Caldy Club but please be aware that the club tends to be very busy at weekends especially between September and March when the club in inundated with rugby players! You will be able to park here free of charge unless the Caldy First Team are playing in which case you would be asked to pay (something to do with rugby union league rules!) In this case, you will be able to park in Pikes Hey Road but please have some consideration for the residents.

Alternatively, you can park in the public car park further up the road in Thurstaston.
