Another quick park and grab....
... If you compare it to any of the caches out at False Cape.
This cache is placed to celebrate the Pro Choice movement. I fully support the right of all cachers to freely choose which type of caches they want to find, where they want to find them and in whatever quantity they want to find them. Freedom of choice is a great thing and something that every cacher should willingly and full heartedly support.
So regardless of whether or not you’re a cacher that prefers to do numbers runs, or enjoys scenic hikes, or lives for solving challenging puzzles, or uses PAFs within minutes of searching, or caches once a year, or loves to hate micros in the woods, or prefers to cache in a group, or likes the challenge of multi-caches, or only does water caches, or wishes there were more large sized caches, or enjoys solo caching, or likes 4 star or better terrain caches, or simply can’t find an ammo can sitting in a parking lot, this cache is for you. It’s a cache you chose to come look for and hopefully one you’ll enjoy.
Remember... Pro Choice is Pro Caching!!
This cache is roughly a mile in from the kayak launch parking. The well-marked trail will get you about 3/4’s of the way there, but the last 1/4 or so is a bushwhack. Not too bad in the winter, but I’m sure it’ll be worse in spring and summer. The cache itself is a larger sized small container that contains a log, some swag and might be big enough for smaller TBs and GCs. There’s also a shiny new bison tube for the FTF.
This cache is located in the Stumpy Lake Natural Area and is only open from sunrise to sunset. Before heading off into the woods for a day of hiking, make sure to plan ahead and give yourself enough time to get back to your vehicle before they lock the gate for the night.
Bounce is pretty bad in this area and the listed coords are an average taken from many readings over two days. With the listed coords, the best GZ reading I got with a +/- 9 accuracy was 10-15 feet. This isn’t a difficult cache, so if the coords give you a problem, just look around and check a few of the obvious places. Please replace the cache as found. If you think there might be a problem, shoot me an email and I’ll check on it as soon as I can.
Thanks for “choosing” to come find this one!!
Congrats to "imodium" and the mysterious "Great Scott!" on their cold, snowy, early morning FTF!! Awesome job!!!
Congrats also goes out to Paddy77 for the very impressive milestone of 365 straight days of caching. A full year... WOW!! Now that's some serious caching!!
