M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!! This cache is dedicated to everybody’s favourite mouse! The cache is located on a well groomed trail that begins at the Thetis Lake Dog Beach barking lot and ends in the Phelps subdivision. The cache is less than a metre off of the trail.
Mickey made his first appearance to a test audience in the silent film Plane Crazy on May 15, 1928 which was met with minimal success. It wasn’t until later that year in November that Mickey became a huge success with the release of Steamboat Willie and he’s been entertaining us ever since! Walt Disney originally intended on calling him Mortimer however Walt’s wife Lillian convinced him to change the name to Mickey.
