Woodside Cemetery was established in 1880 by the Clover Presbyterian Church. In 1906, the property was deeded to the Town of Clover as a town cemetery. This cemetery is home to the Clover Veterans Memorial which was dedicated in November 2005 “In Honor and Memory of Those Who Served in Peace and War to Preserve Freedom.” Woodside Cemetery now encompasses 14.6 acres of land with over 3,500 marked graves and between 500 and 600 unmarked graves.

Town of Clover Celebrates 125th Anniversary: At one time, Clover, South Carolina, was a little station on the Chester and Lenoir Narrow-Gauge Railroad that provided water to the trains passing through. But, by faith and fortitude, the Town’s population and economy grew. Clover was officially incorporated on December 24, 1887. Clover has continued to grow and prosper and now, 125 years after incorporation, is celebrating its Quasquicentennial Anniversary. The celebration will be held from September 2012 through March 2013.
