The Morton rest area was refurbished in 2010 and 2011 with updated amenities, better handicap accessibilty, improved truck parking, and new paving. In 2012, it got a new cache.
This rest area is for westbound motorists. There is an eastbound rest area east of Forest near mile marker 90 or 91.
The cache is located on the east side of the picnic area. The area is over the hill and out of sight of the rest area building and security guard house.
The picnic area drive is open during daylight hours, but the cache is accessible 24/7 from the parking lot. Don't forget to bring a pen.
