Geocache Description:

The Evergreen Dairy was up and running when I was a child. I grew up in this area and my grandma and I used to come down there for milk, eggs, ice cream. I would run off as soon as we parked to go watch the cows being milked and to say hello to all the other critters as well.

The bridge you will be near is a place where all us country kids would congregate to swim and socialize. My first kiss, my first smoke, my first swear word, and many other firsts happened right here. The bridge used to be different. It had an arch on each side that rose quite high. In order to prove we were not scared little children we would accept the dare to jump off the bridge into the water. That was one of two levels of manhood. The other being to accept the dare to climb up the arch and jump from the top. Only we brave few did that and it was proof positive that we were all grown up, brave, and courageous men... That is until my neighbor (a GIRL) proved that she was just as brave and courageous.

Be sure to look down the road to the dairy fields because it is now a wildlife refuge and when I placed this cache I saw well over 50 elk right near the road. I hope they are there for you as well.

No need to go under the bridge.

Congrats to Ingosabi for FTF!
