This cache is located at Qld Brusue’s Old School Bus Stop on the banks of the North Branch of the Condamine River.
This place brings back loads of memories – floods (great because we could miss school), drought, my brother wagging school under the bridge! This was the last stop for the school bus. We needed to walk or ride our bikes about ½ a mile and the time to leave was at 7.45am when the ABC news started, to make sure we got there in time for the bus. Some of my cousins had built a bike shelter, but there’s not much left of it anymore. The big stump at this site was great for climbing onto and watch for the bus.
My family still own the farm and are aware of this cache, but the cache is located on public land so don’t be concerned about trespassing.
You will be looking for a 200ml container with some swappables – some are from my childhood:) Please be on the lookout for snakes during summer, especially if the grass is getting a bit long.
