Geocache Description:

Situated on the Derby & Sandiacre Canal Path. Between Draycott and Breaston, the towpath has been upgraded as part of the National Cycle Network.

The Derby Canal was 14½ miles long and opened in 1795. Built by Benjamin Outram the canal carried coal, corn and stone as well as rails.
This award winning cache contains a notepad and pencil and room for swaps and trackables. Original Contents - bird gift tag, mini cotton reels, plant labels, FTF certificate scroll, Geocoin.
