Geocache Description:

Minnekhada Region Park (Minnekhada is a Sioux word meaning “water rattling by") is a 200 hectare park located in north-eastern Coquitlam not far from the Pitt River. Inside the Park you can enjoy over ten kilometres of trail, its upper and lower marshes, any of five lookouts and the historic Minnekhada Lodge.

Check out the related link (above) for more information and a trail map of Minnekhada Park.

During my hikes of the park over the years I have come across bears

and this deer

A short walk in the Minnekhada Park, this one should be easy to get to for most people.

When you are on the trail near GZ you need to head East (up the slope) and look behind the big mossy rock. The cache is a larger plastic can that is tucked in the rocks. No more than 8 meters off the trail.
