Cache IS at the posted coordinates, but you MUST fulfill the requirements in order to log this cache!
Everybody likes a challenge. Right? Guess it depends... Some challenges are easier than others. But all of them give you an opportunity to work towards something -- a goal of one kind or another -- and a smiley at the end. You may even qualify for some and not even realize it! In some cases you'll find yourself branching out from your norm in order to meet the requirements of the challenge. So, knowing that a little challenge will do you good, and that deviating from the norm is also good for you, I give you this challenge:
To complete this challenge you need find 30 challenge geocaches.
A challenge geocache is a geocache that has some sort of an alternative logging requirement. Usually you have to find so many of a certain type of cache and show that you have done it before you can log the challenge geocache.
Examples of challenge geocaches:
Finding X number of caches with a certain word or subject in the title
Finding X number of caches with a certain theme to them
Finding X number of benchmarks
Finding X number of a certain type of caches
Finding X number of caches with a stated or minimum D/T
Finding a cache a day for a certain number of days in a row
Attending X number of events
Moving or discovering X number of trackables
Obviously, these are only some examples of available challenges out there.
Simple rules:
1. Past finds count for this challenge.
2. Finds can be made in any location and can be any D/T rating.
3. If the challenge a cache on which you have logged is optional you must have fulfilled the challenge in order to use it as a find.
4. The challenge geocaches for this challenge are real geocaches that increase your find count (not Geocaching Challenges -- photo or action -- which do not increase your find count).
The one exception is the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department geocache challenge -- where you have to get one cache in each (or a certain number) of state parks in a certain region. These were all styled TxGCCXX (where XX was the year). If you received or were eligible to receive a coin or certificate for completion for a region, please note the year and region and bookmark all caches you obtained to qualify for that region. Note: The individual caches do NOT qualify -- only the overall challenge for getting them (even though there is no 'final'). If you completed more than one challenge, it will count if you back it up as described above.
5. Show us your challenge geocaches you have completed. You can upload a GSAK or other stat program screenshot. You can bookmark them (noting the found date). Or you can list your caches in your found log using the following format:
GC -- Title -- Date Found -- challenge (if not obvious from the title)
General rule for ANY challenge -- if you are using a checker please capture the data so it shows your caches! Don't just use the part that says "xxxx qualifies."
6. You can sign the log for this challenge at any time and log a 'note' to the cache page, mentioning you signed the log. But you may not log a find until you have completed the requirements (this way you don't have to go back to sign after you complete the requirements!). Once you complete the requirements, edit your log, change it to found, and change the find date to the date you completed the requirements and list the required information.
