This cache has been archived.

Due to no response from the CO after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival. This is explained in the Help Center

If the CO feels that this cache has been archived in error please feel free to contact me within 30 days, via email or message via my profile ,quoting the GC number concerned

Thank you for understanding

Geocache Description:

The name refers to a fairy tale story where the upper branches leads into mystical lands. Few people can reach even the lower branches, but maybe you may find a funfair up there or perhaps a goose that lay golden eggs.

WARNING:
Although close to the N2, GPS maps will take you in the wrong direction. There is no correct GPS map. Follow the waypoints.
Simple directions: As you turn of the N2, immediately left. (GPS maps will tell you differently.) About 200m on, as the bit of tar end, turn right unto gravel. You are heading towards the big trees.
As for the Lost Falls, here was once a rest area. (If you would like to see this place restored as a picnic site, please make suggestion to MTO Forrestry.)

Remnants of the old stairs may still be seen. The trees here is Karri Gums, planted in 1926. The tree at the cache is the third tallest tree in South Africa at 71.5m. (The height was measured by climbing the tree, see the link for how they did it.) The "Big Tree" next to the N2, a few kilometers away, is in comparison a paltry 36m. Of the Karri Gum species, this is the tallest in Africa. The tree is on the list of Champion Trees of South Africa. Its listed as number 128. The mounds next to the trees is just the normal process of gum trees shedding bark. Enjoy the crunchy spongy walk!

Yip, I use "local camo" please renew the camo when you replace the box, there is no shortage.

Driving into the forestry is not permitted. Stick to the roads only. If you decide to go for The "Lost Falls" please follow the supplied waypoints.
Only access during daylight allowed.
If there is a chain across the road, you will have to walk.

Original box contain:
Playing card
Metal puzzle. (Seperate pieces without applying force)
Hairclip
Scripture verse
Crazy bean
Logbook and pencil

PS: Seems like I'm not the only one with GZ shifting constantly. I updated the difficulty a bit.

And listed as "Champion trees no. 128 (visit link)
