Regular sized container hidden in the cedar swamp alongside the Speed River.
Welcome to the cedar swamps of the Speed River valley. Much of the city of Guelph was built on swamps like this one. If you take a look around town, all of the large older homes of Guelph's early settlers were built on the high ground, and the poorer folks had to make do with the low-lying areas that had to be drained before they could be used for building.
Trailheads and parking can be found at either Niska Road (south) or by the Guelph Humane Society just off Wellington. See additional waypoints for co-ordinates. From either trailhead follow the orange blazes to the junction of the blue side trail, cache is just off the blue trail.
In the spring the route to the cache from either trailhead could be wet, muddy, or completely flooded. Don't be surprised if rubber boots (or good waterproof hikers) are needed in flood season.
Please make sure the container is re-hidden properly to keep it out of sight.
