Geocache Description:


This listed village pump in Southminster is circa 1832. It is a cast iron obelisk and one of only 2 obelisk survivors.

The inscription reads "Erected by The Governors of The Charter House, March 1832", and, "Richmond and Son Engineers, Chelmsford" and is the only known identifiable casting of the Richmond Foundry.
