Spofforth and Follifoot Walk #22 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

The thirteenth of Water Slider's series of walks on the footpaths around the villages of north and north east Leeds. Moving into North Yorkshire this time as we go to Spofforth and Follifoot.

This is a six mile circular walk starting in the village of Spofforth on public bridleways and footpaths, with a couple of short sections on roads.

There are 22 caches and a bonus, if you do all 22, some, but not all have information which will allow you to find the bonus cache. It’s the normal mix of film canisters and clip boxes, but with a few different ones too. Tweezers are recommended for at least one of the caches.

Please note, some parts of this walk can be very muddy after wet weather, please wear appropriate footwear.

Parking is available on Castle Street, we parked at N 53° 57.315 W 001° 27.034

From number 21 continue along the path, after going under the viaduct walk down Manor Garth back to Castle Street and the recommended parking place

This is a film canister
