This is the first in a series of evil caches in the Des Moines area.
Sometimes finding a cache is a matter of looking for something out of place. Usually it is either a URP* (Unusual Rock Pile) or a PPS* (Pile of Parallel sticks) that look out of place and while I believe it is fun to discover a cache large enough to hold swag I have done that already. It is now time for my favorite type of cache and that means a series of DIABOLICAL caches or caches hidden in plain sight.
Please log every attempt -whether it’s a DNF or a quick find. These logs will assist me in adjusting the difficulty level, but I also request that logs don’t include any spoilers or hints that describe the container or location.
**Update 2/27/2014, the entire cache has been redesigned so that a TOTT is no longer required and the log is larger. Also note that this is Rite in the Rain paper (waterproof).
This area is a City of Des Moines wetland and with that a very delicate space. Respect the vegetation, as when searching any geocache, and tread lightly. I have placed the cache in an area that can be found without getting soaked and please approach from the west if your wish to stay that way. This cache is NOT in or on private property.
