Galveston County Zip Code Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

cachestacker: Time to go. Poles replaced and cache went with them. This one has had multiple disappearances. And when placed in 2012, this area was not known as Dead Man's Curve. Soooo much more traffic now; it's not a good spot any longer.

Geocache Description:

Cache IS at the posted coordinates, but you MUST fulfill the requirements in order to log a find on this cache!

To complete this challenge you will need find one cache in each of the 18 zip codes in Galveston County, Texas.

Simple rules:

1. Finds must be made on or after 1/1/2012, but can be of any type of cache.

2. The zip codes for Galveston County are: 77510, 77511, 77517, 77518, 77539, 77546, 77550, 77551, 77554, 77563, 77565, 77568, 77573, 77590, 77591, 77617, 77623, and 77650. The find needs to be in the zip code, but some zip codes extend beyond Galveston County. The find does not have to be in Galveston County, but it's preferable.

3. If there is no active cache in a zip code when you complete the challenge, that zip code does not need to have a find. If you own the only active cache in a zip code, you do not need to log it as found.

4. The map on the Related Web Pages (at top) will assist you in locating the zip code boundaries. Zoom in and you will see the zip codes.

5. Show us your finds. Indicate the GC / Cache Name / Date Found / Zip Code of Cache in your Found It log or in a bookmark.

General rule for ANY challenge -- if you are using a checker please capture the data so it shows your caches! Don't just use the part that says "xxxx qualifies."

6. You can sign the log for this challenge at any time and log a 'note' to the cache page, mentioning you signed the log. But you may not log a find until you have completed the requirements (this way you don't have to go back to sign after you complete the requirements!). Once you complete the requirements, edit your log, change it to found, and change the find date to the date you completed the requirements and list the required information.

7. Thanks to TravelingGeek we have a cool checker you can use. The checker is not exact, in that it uses Zip Code Tabulation Areas instead of exact geographic lines, but if you pass the checker you satisfy this challenge. The checker will post a map picture, which you can screen-shot (or use snipping tool) to save as a JPG and you can upload it to your log nice and easy!
