Jackson Cemetery of Elkhart County
This cache will take you to Jackson Cemetery. The cemetery is a historic cemetery listed in Indiana’s Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Other than the sign near the road at the entrance the cemetery is somewhat hidden since it is located at the end of a long drive from the street. There are quite of few large family plots some with deceased whose birthdays were in the 1700’s through up to today. As you would expect with an older cemetery there are quite a few larger trees. I can’t say for sure but by the looks I’m suspecting it is bordered by a wet lands. Being in farm country and it’s offset from the road makes this very peaceful and quiet. Take some time to walk around and enjoy the serenity as well as to look at the old tombstones and ornate makers.
The cache is a loc n loc with room for some collectibles and bugs.
